The Broken Sound Community has won numerous awards for community and landscape design. There are 27 villages throughout the community that offer diversity for the seasonal or year-round family, professional, or retiree lifestyle. Architecturally, the community offers some of the finest homes designed for South Florida living, set amid lush landscaping. Residents enjoy the renovated clubhouse, fitness center and golf courses. There are approximatley 1600 homes nestled on 1,000 acres, surrounded by miles of shaded bike paths, lakes and golf views in 27 distincitve-looking communities, under 2000 sq ft to up to 10,000 sq ft. The community, begun in 1986, appeals to a variety of lifestyles, including families, seasonal residents, professionals and retirees. There are mandatory membership fees and dues. About 65% of the residents are there year around.

Featured is a state-of-the-art clubhouse with health club, two new 18-hold golf courses and 23 har-tru tennis courts. There is a children?s lot and beautiful aquatic area. Complimentary children?s activities are available while parents/grandparents utilize Spa and Fitness facilities. The Center features a 25-meter lap pool, a recreational pool and a luxurious hot tub. A kiddy pool and children?s play area provide endless fun. Children and those young at heart can indulge in a variety of enjoyable recreational programs, including story time, arts and crafts, health and fitness holiday and vacation activities. Well-attended activities include a magic show and cake decorating classes.

A new pool bar and changing rooms are designed for the convenience of our members. Aquatic exercise and instructional classes will resume at the Center upon re-opening. Location is just minutes from fabulous Atlantic beaches, upscale shopping, dining and exciting night life, on the north side of Yamato Road at St. Andrews Boulevard.

At the Broken Sound Club you may tee off at either of the Gene Bates designed championship golf courses, socialize at the Addison Mizner style 60,000 sq foot clubhouse, serve an ace on the stadium tennis court, work-out at the state of the art fitness center, rejuvenate at the spa, and enjoy superb cuisine.

Social activities include on-site shows, concerts and dining experiences indoors or under the stars. Classes are held on card games, language and art, to help you brush up or learn a new skill. Lectures are given on topics ranging from world news to health. There are day trips to historical sites, museums, shopping havens, and popular South Florida events, including premieres as well as exciting cruise packages. Special interest programs include activities and programs especially for single members along with participation in Interclub Singles activities. New members are welcomed into the community with gatherings to become acquainted with other members and the plethora of activities we offer.
